At Charlotte’s The Mint Museum through Oct. 25: ‘Caravaggio | Revolution: Baroque Masterpieces from the Roberto Longhi Foundation.’ The masterful ‘Boy Bitten by a Lizard’ anchors more than 30 paintings by Baroque masters and ‘Caravaggisti’ from across Europe. His revolutionary use of shadow and light (‘chiaroscuro’) and non-idealized depiction of ‘the people’ influenced generations, including contemporary artists like Martin Scorsese, who is featured in the exhibit.
